Colanders are typically one of the easiest pieces of kitchenware to get damaged. The mesh bends and dents, the rim twists and warps, and before you know it, it stops sitting flat, stops fitting in bowls, and stops looking good. Enzo's goal in the development of this product was to create a colander that is strong enough to last a lifetime.
Through the pursuit of strength, aesthetic beauty, and good drainage, they have succeeded in creating an exceptionally durable colander. By using stainless steel wire with a diameter of 0.5mm (much thicker than typical colander mesh), the net of this colander is unlikely to bend or dent. By spacing the wire at the perfect distance, even food as small as rice grains won't wash through.
The edges of the net have been pulled tightly, and wrapped around a stainless steel bar concealed by the rim of the colander, creating tension and strength across the entire net.
