Harimaen Sannen Bancha is a high-quality Japanese aged green tea that has a rich and toasty flavor, and is low in caffeine and tannins, making it great for the whole family to enjoy.
Sannen bancha is a special Japanese tea that undergoes a multi-step process to develop a rich and delicious flavor. Unlike most Japanese teas, sannen bancha mostly uses the tea stems, with the tea leaves being a minor ingredient in the blend.
After bancha tea leaves and stems are harvested, they're steamed and dried, and then aged for 3+ years, before finally being roasted. The roasting imbues the tea with a rich and nutty flavor, similar to hojicha.
This tea is made from tea stems, which have been moderately aged, and have been cultivated using less than half the amount of pesticides as conventional cultivation. These stems are then blended with organic tea leaves, making it a fragrant, safe and natural tea that anyone can enjoy.
