Yakiniku grilled meat dishes have become globally famous among fans of Japanese cuisine, but have you ever heard of the grilled mutton dish called Jingisukan, which is usually served in a unique grill pot? This product enables you to experience Jingisukan at home.
Jingisukan, or grilled mutton, is one of the local hot pot foods in Hokkaido. Although there are various theories, one of the reasons this dish is named after Genghis Khan the first Emperor of the Mongolian Empire is that the he himself and his army ate a roasted sheep during their military conquests.
This product is a cast iron grill pot used for making the Jingisukan mutton dish. The central part of the cooking surface is convex-shaped and has grooves, which are designed to remove the fat that trickles from the meat.
It has excellent heat conductivity and retention so you can cook meat and veggies efficiently. In addition, the cooking surface has good oil distribution and the food is less likely to burn.
Before use, wash well with hot water and lightly dry-heat the product.
After evaporating the water on the cooking surface, apply the oil and distribute the oil by stir-frying some vegetables.
Due to the nature of the iron kitchenware, the surface may get rusty. Although the rust is harmless, scrub well with a scrub brush if you wish to remove it. After scrubbing, add the oil and heat lightly by stir-frying the vegetables.
Besides mutton, you can cook other meats like beef, pork, and poultry.
This product is non-microwavable and not dishwasher-safe.
