Indulge in the authentic taste of Japan with J Taste Umeboshi Pickled Plums With Honey. Crafted from A-Grade Nanko plums, these special plums are sourced exclusively from the renowned Wakayama Prefecture, famed for producing the finest umeboshi.
J Taste umeboshi are additive-free and boast a lower sodium content compared to conventional umeboshi. Enhanced with a touch of pure Japanese honey, these pickled plums offer a unique balance of sweet and savory flavors. Those who find umeboshi to be too sour or too salty will love the sweet and slightly salty taste of J Taste umeboshi.
The keys to the quality of J Taste’s Honey Umeboshi Plums are the simple, natural ingredients used. Soft and ripe A-Grade Kishu Nanko ume plums are pickled in Japanese blossom honey, raw sugar, apple vinegar, and mirin. Not only are these umeboshi low-sodium when compared to other umeboshi, the salt they do use is of the highest quality: pure, Australian sun-dried salt collected from islands around the Great Barrier Reef. The salt is rich in minerals, yet mild in flavor so as not to overpower the sweetness of the honey.
Umeboshi, or Japanese pickled plums, have been cherished for centuries for their myriad health benefits. The natural citric acid formed during the lengthy pickling process provides an alkalizing effect on the body, helping to neutralize fatigue, stimulate digestion, and promote the elimination of toxins.
