This saishikomi Japanese shoyu soy sauce would be a great addition to any Japanese dish.

Slowly aged for three years in wooden barrels, Kamebishi have really created a work of art with this authentic, natural soy sauce. Saishikomi soy sauce is a special type of Japanese soy sauce that has been brewed twice to give it multiple extra layers of depth and richness.

This saishikomi sauce has a well-balanced flavor, characterized by its mild and not overly salty taste.

Kamebishi's aged saishikomi shoyu is ideal for bringing out the natural deliciousness of fresh ingredients like sashimi and sushi. It's also fantastic as a dipping sauce for red meat, and gyoza dumplings.

    WOW!

You know how some Soy Sauce is salty, and others are *really* salty - well - this is what's missing in your life!

It's umami, with a hint of salt, velvety and smooth. It's expensive, yes, but i'll be buying more - or more accurately asking the kids to get it for my birthday.

    Next level soy sauce

This is unlike your regular mass produced soy sauce. With a complexity of aroma and flavour I've not experienced. I would recommend trying it.

    Deep, almost fruity, and rich

I love the tamari shoyu I got from JT, and I also love this one very much. I love how I can learn so much from JT, I didn't know there were this many kinds of soy sauce... and being able to taste them side by side really revealed the distinctions. It's seriously just so, so much better than anything I've found in the U.S. - and while I love the Asian grocery stores here, the descriptions from JT here help me choose something good rather than just guessing!

    Worth the wait

I saw a YouTube video on how this was made and knew I had to try it. Anything that steeped in tradition has to be good. I was not disappointed. The flavour puts supermarket soy sauce to shame. I look forward to serving it at my next family gathering. And I may even carry it in my handbag for when I go out to eat. Thank you for the care and love you put into making this.

    Xclnt Gift

This purchase was part of a Xmas gift to my favourite Japanese chef. The item itself and the delivery was xclnt. UPS, OTOH, charged extra fees of some kind, which was unexpected.
