Matsuo Dried Japanese Mixed Mushrooms for Takikomi Gohan Kit 65g

¥1,100

The Matsuo Dried Japanese Mixed Mushrooms for Takikomi Gohan Kit is an easy-to-use kit that lets you create a delicious and aromatic mushroom mixed rice dish with minimal effort. Simply add the dried mushrooms to 2 cups of washed rice, let it sit for about 20 minutes, then add the included seasonings and turn on your rice cooker. That's it!

Savor the unique aroma and texture of three types of mushrooms—sweet enoki mushrooms, wild enoki mushrooms, and tamogi mushrooms—each with its flavor intensified through traditional drying processes. You can even use brown rice or barley in place of white rice to make the mixed rice even more flavorful.

These mushrooms are grown in the pristine Mushroom Village of Shinshu (Nagano prefecture), delivering a rich, earthy taste to your table. This takikomi gohan kit includes special seasonings, featuring soy sauce from Shinshu and hon mirin, ensuring an authentic and delicious culinary experience.

Wash 2 cups of rice and add water to the same level as for regular rice cooking.

Remove the seasonings and dried mushrooms from the package. Add only the dried mushrooms to the rice and water mixture, then stir gently to let the rice and mushrooms absorb the water. (Estimated time is about 20 minutes.)

Add the seasoning liquid, stir gently, and turn on the rice cooker.

Once the rice is cooked, mix everything together, and it's done.

    Yum!

This Takikomi Gohan kit is wonderful with tasty dried mushrooms. I add cooked chestnut sometimes.
