MIYABI series is owned by a globally known kitchenware brand Zwilling J.A. Henckels. Its innovated kitchen blades are a combination of Japanese craftsmanship and German technology, so they are sophisticated in their cutting capacity, design, and usability. This product is a petty knife.
It is a 49-layered Damascus kitchen knife that is made with super-tough FC61 steel and a special FRIODUR® quenching to further enhance its durability. If properly maintained, the blade is outstanding in sharpness and free from concerns about nicking.
The asymmetrical D-shaped handle fits surprisingly nicely in your hand and has a beautiful woodgrain tone. Just like the blade, it is wonderfully tough.
The mark printed on the middle of the handle is reminiscent of kamon (Japanese family crest) and makes this kitchen knife look like a Japanese sword. It also has a brand logo on the blade and the end of the handle.
