This is different from the French onion soup, which is very nourishing. This is much lighte, a great snack, a cup of onion soup, healthy and refreshing. love it particularly when the weather is cold.

This soup is delicious. It has a strong onion flavor with a little bit of chicken and parsley. It was warm and comforting and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I added some dried miso soup toppings after tasting the soup on its own and that was also very good.

A little while after eating it I felt very thirsty, so I checked the nutrition information. Each packet makes 150 mL of soup and has 1.5g of salt equivalent in it. For someone who is used to American food labeling, that's 600 mg of sodium. I ate a double portion, so that was 1200 mg of sodium in a sitting. That's not too much for a full meal, but it's a lot for a little cup of soup.

Next time I will make 300 mL of soup but I will only use one packet.

Nagatanien's onion soup is surprisingly delicious! It has a robust flavor. I think it tastes good for everyone and I hope it will be more readily available. One of my regular staples from now on.

This soup is perfect -- with a meal, or just as a refreshing break.
