Whether you're using a fountain pen, gel pen, or anything else, this paper elevates the act of writing to an art form.
Tomoe River paper was originally created by the Tomoegawa paper company, from 1914 all the way until 2021, when they had to cease production due to the shift toward a paperless society. Thankfully, the paper was saved when the Sanzen paper company purchased all remaining inventory of Tomoe River, along with the rights to produce it. That very same Sanzen Tomoe River paper is used in these great writing pads by Yamamoto Paper.
Tomoe River paper is special for a variety of reasons. It's ultra-lightweight. Standard paper is typically between 90-100gsm, yet Tomoe River is a crisp 52gsm, making it show off the ink sheen and true colors better. In addition, Tomoe River is coated on both sides of the paper, preventing feathering and bleed-through, allowing you to comfortable and cleanly write on both sides.
Enjoy the experience of writing on the world's most sought-after and premium paper with this beautiful Sanzen Tomoe River writing pad by Yamamoto Paper.
