Irie Seika

Irie Seika is a traditional Japanese candy company based in Fukuoka. Since their founding in 1934 they've been dedicated to creating delicious candy using traditional techniques in a variety of interesting flavors. Their main product is Konpeito, a traditional Japanese hard candy that gradually forms over two weeks into a cute star shape.

Konpeito is commonly gifted at weddings, graduations and other auspicious events in Japan, as since its introduction to the country, it's been seen as a high-class gift. It's even one of the official gifts given by the imperial family to visiting dignitaries.
