This Usukuchi Shoyu Japanese Light Soy Sauce by Suehiro is perfect to preserve the vivid colors of natural, seasonal ingredients in your dishes.
While koikuchi dark soy sauce can change the color of your soups, stews and other dishes, usukuchi shoyu's light color leaves your food looking fresh and bright, while still flavoring it with the delicious Japanese soy sauce taste you know and love.
The origin of usukuchi soy sauce is Tatsuno, in the mountains of Hyogo prefecture. The area's cool climate, and natural soft water are ideal for soy sauce production.
Suehiro soy sauce brewery is based in Tatsuno, and has been brewing shoyu there since 1887. They're deeply proud of their town's place in shoyu history, and of the fresh, natural water that flows through the area and helps to make their shoyu so great.
This usukuchi shoyu is made with 100% domestic Japanese soybeans and wheat, as well as sun-dried salt, and has been naturally brewed to ensure the flavor is pure and clean.
Add this usukuchi shoyu to any dish you want to season, but don't want to alter the color of the ingredients too much. Try it over tofu, or other light ingredients, for a shoyu flavor that doesn't overpower.
